Natural Geometry Home In Singapore Gardens and Green Fields

Completed in 2013, this contemporary residence is located in Singapore Gardens and Green Fields and was designed by HYLA Architects. It was designed with luxury and spaciousness in mind, which is why it can satisfy even the most pretentious tastes regarding comfort. On the inside, it impresses with airy, well-lit living areas and lavish private spaces. On the outside, the main highlight comes in the form of a geometric screen that was inspired in its design by nature and its unique forms.

Inserted between the screen and the house itself is a two-story outdoor space that flaunts a timber deck and a pond. The different levels of the house are connected by a white interior staircase that boasts glass railings and wooden steps. On the second level, the family room and the staircase are separated by a TV-shelf. As for the master bathroom, it extends outdoors and incorporates a shower and a sunken bathtub. The bathroom in the attic comes with a cantilevered sink, mirror, light and sink.

From the architect:

A geometric screen inspired by nature fronts this western facing semi-detached house. Between the screen and the house is a two-storey outdoor covered space with a pond and a timber deck.

The living, dining and dry kitchen extend beyond. On the 2nd storey, a family room has a TV-shelf dividing it from the staircase.

The master bathroom cantilevers dramatically into the outdoor space with its sunken bath and shower. At the top, the attic bathroom is made with cantilevered elements – shelf, sink, mirror and light.
