Daniel’s Lane Residence located in Sagaponack, New York was created by Blaze Makoid Architecture for a father with three kids.

Due to the revision of flood elevation in 2010, the house had to be elevated with approximately 17 feet above the sea level. Because the architect wanted the project to be simple and clean, the two story travertine façade has not been accessorized too much, being highlighted only by one opening.

The access to the patio and the pool is facilitated by the 15-foot floor-to-ceiling glass sliding panels which also maximize the ocean view.

All three children’s bedrooms are identical, the tendency being accentuated by the master bedroom with private balcony. The elegancy and the modern accents of the house are highlighted by the materials used which include poured-in-place concrete floors, Calcutta marble cladding and afromosia millwork.
