Purple is definitely the color of the moment, both in fashion trends and interior decorations. From the lilac to purple and dark purple, these colors offer lots of possibilities to decorate the inside of your home.
Whether we’re talking about a sumptuous décor in the living room or about the use of lilac purple in the bathroom, you will definitely get an exceptional décor.
         1.  Play with colors
Purple shades are numerous and their intensity varies depending on the pigment of red and blue. While blue-violet is rather cold, the red-violet is one of the warmest colors.
For a sober décor you can use the lilac shade, gray-violet or blue violet. A combination of purple, red and lilac is ideal for the kitchen or for the entrance hallway, because these nuances give the impression of warmth and friendliness.
Intense violet will always feel luxurious. Be careful though on the surface you use it because you don’t want it to become ostentatious!
         2. Pale purple means peace and order
Pale violet and gray violet are soothing colors that induce a feeling of simplicity and calmness. They are ideal for a child’s room, especially because it matches really well with the pink or blue, which are the favorite colors of girls, respectively boys.
You can play with different shades of violet, for example, by painting a wall darker than the others. It is essential to accessorize the room with intense violet accents, by choosing a piece of furniture with the same color.
Shades like lilac and purple can be successfully used in the bathroom. In the kitchen is good to use a slightly darker shade. The key is to find the balance!
Red-violet induces warmth and friendship. It can be used in bathrooms and also in the living rooms.
         3.  Dark purple means luxury
Dark purple shades are ideal to create a welcoming atmosphere in a luxurious living room. They should be used naturally, with great attention and moderation because you don’t want to create a tedious room.
You don’t want to combine strong or contrasting colors next to the dark purple because it creates a feeling of opulence.
For a room decorated in Baroque spirit, use furniture covered with black velvet or fur. For additional sobriety, use the violet-beige combination.
