Located in Seongbuk –dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, South Korea, the H House was designed by Sae Min Oh who put a lot of attention in everything, till the smallest detail. It was finished in 2012 and needed a lot of work and dedication to be completed, and a lot of patience from the owners in order to live in it.
The house is situated on a slope ground, so the front level is lower than the back level with about 8m. The owner had a lot of demands, including creating a home for three generations that could resist through time, with excellent day lighting and ventilation. Of course, because the client is the one who always decides, his wishes came true and it was very satisfied with the result.
The basement floor was specially arranged to become a commercial space and now there is established a beauty shop “Miega”.
With a little bit of inspiration and craftsmanship, the architects managed to restore an old building with little finances, using qualitative but not ridiculously expensivematerials.
