The Galeria House located in Nova Lima, Brazil, was designed by MaCh Arquitectos. Because the architects wanted to respect the owners’ wishes towards the arrangement of the house, they’ve created a space meant for permanent living, for safekeeping and for displaying their large collection of works of art.

Because of the different gradations of openings and closings in connection with the nature, there are various ambiances in the house.

The building is composed of two basic elements: one longitudinal rectangular volume and a high triangular volume hanging from thin metal pillars.

The first block includes the gym and the sauna with a spa at the lower level and the living and dining rooms at the ground level. A triangular block, above the anterior one, accommodates the rooms and the TV room, along with two terraces, one near the TV room and another one close to the rooms. All rooms face east and feature private outdoor areas. The living spaces are more transparent and seem to blend with the landscape.
