The Forest House located in the New Forest National Park, was designed by PAD Studio. The dwelling is set within an 18.5 acre terrain and is surrounded by abundant greenery. In order to minimize the impact on the site and the surroundings, the whole building was attentively oriented. Both, the main house and the annexes feature low rise green roofs.

The orientation of the buildings is meant to maximize solar gain and to utilize the ground source heat pump technology. In order to reduce the noise impact and the offer a visual screen to the north, excavated material from the basement and pool has been reused in the earth beaming.

It’s an eco-friendly home, that’s why is based on rain water harvesting, grey water recycling and durable and sustainable materials.
