Located in West Hollywood, California, this amazing 4,500-square-foot residence was once a 1,800-square-foot home, built in the 1980s. Los Angeles-based studio (fer) – whose name stands for “form, environment, research” – carried out the renovation plan, ensuring wonderful 180-degree views of Brentwood, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood.

The two-story residence also has a new orientation that permits excellent use of natural sunlight. Only high quality materials were used for the renovation project, plus some very exotic elements, such as a three centuries old monastery door from South Asia for the office, an antique Asian table for the powder room, and an interior staircase made of blackened steel and  100-year-old reclaimed teak.

Custom made furniture and kitchen fixtures give a plus of luxury appeal to the already spectacular dwelling. Matching the beauty of the home is the lovely outdoor area, with a reshaped pool that incorporates “a Jacuzzi and a 3” deep wading pool for “floating” lounge furniture”. The picture is completed by the inviting outdoor dining and living areas. See more in the following photos.
