Beautiful in every way, this contemporary summer house was designed by Oslo-based Filter Arkitekter. It is called the Summer House Skåtøy and it is located in Skåtøy, Lake Windermere, Norway. This was actually a renovation project, based on an original building that had dated back to 1940. The new home was completed in 2009, and it was built to offer enhanced privacy while also remaining open towards the superb surroundings.

Located on a public pier, the residence is a maintenance-free dwelling, which is an essential characteristic for a summer home. Its sheltered outdoor areas are ideal for enjoying the good life during the lazy days of the hot season.
