Sarasota, a beautiful city located in Florida, USA, is the home for this dreamlike home, called the Picture Frame House. The 6,400-square-foot house was designed by the DSDG Inc. Architects Studio and built by Voigt Brothers Construction.
The house was designed to take advantage of the lovely scenery offered by the Sarasota Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, the Sarasota downtown and the New Pass. Beautiful fire pits and comfortable furnishings surround the outside pool creating a relaxing and calm atmosphere. Uniqueness and elegance is given by the contemporary architecture, which features shade sails and teak stained cypress. The roof top was transformed into a terrace with wood decking and grass.
The interior is connected with the exterior through floor to ceiling glass, and the use of the same wall color: bright white. Modern bright furnishings adorn the open-plan living and dining area. Unlike other residences, the private area, including the bedrooms, is situated on the first floor, while the public area, with kitchen, master bedroom and great room, can be found on the second floor. The architects’ purpose was to maximize the views of the surroundings in the most used rooms of the mansion.
