The busy road on one side of the house and the unhindered access of the sun on the opposite side determined the overall configuration of The Warehaus in Perth, Australia. It was designed by Residential Attitudes with a central courtyard and two stories of beautiful contemporary spaces.
The use of concrete and metal give the residence an industrial feel, while the stone and timber soften and warm up the design to make it more suitable for a private home. The ground floor holds a beautiful freeform living area with a polished plaster ethanol fireplace at the center. Also here is aseparate master wingwhich contains a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom, dressing room and private courtyard. The rest of the ground floor is occupied by the laundry, powder room and library.
On the upper floor there are two bedrooms with access to a mezzanine walkway. Since the house was built for a multi-generational family, there is another living area upstairs, with a balcony and overlooking the courtyard. This level also holds a shared bathroom and a separate kitchenette.
