The Otter Cove residence by Sagan Piechota Architecture is a special contemporary two-story home located in Carmel, California, USA, identifying itself perfectly with the landscape to which it belongs. Its exquisite design was conceived to respond to the edgyconditions of the location. The house is split into two wings:the eastern wing provides privacy from Highway One while the western wing buffers the ocean wind. The roof is the reference element of this construction which creates the effect of lightness and lift. The natural light also floods the house through the large windows, creating a warm and cozy environment. Built on a rocky ground, its structure is as stronger as the resources of the nature are, despite its gentle and refined design.
