The Sun Juan Cliffside House located in Washington State was designed by Prentiss Architects.  The challenges related to design and constructions were created by the steep topography.

The building is divided into two structures connected by a garden: a smaller one that accommodates a studio, an office and the garage, and a larger one that is set to be a residence for a couple.

The main residence consists of two volumes, one being embedded into the bluff, creating in this way the foundation and defining various exterior spaces.

The Multi-axial configuration permits lowering the boundaries between the indoors and the outdoors, creating in this way a strong connection of all the rooms with the landscape.
