This exquisite five-story contemporary mansion is named House Tati and it can be found in Bassonia, Johannesburg. The house was built in 2011 and it was based on an existing luxury property that received a complete transformation from the Nico van der Meulen Architects firm.
The views are spectacular, and they can be enjoyed in full from the building’s eastern side. Moreover, natural sunlight floods every room thanks to a cleverly designed system using vertical louvers on the western and northern facades.
Public spaces such as the bar-lounge, the meeting room, the covered balcony and the entertainment area are located on the entry level, while the more private spaces are reserved for the upper levels. The fourth floor houses the guest accommodations, the dining hall, the kitchen and the family room. The children rooms and entertainment areas are found on the third floor, as well as a state of the art home theatre and a pool deck. The second floor is reserved for the master suite, and the ground floor is where the spa, squash court, hobby room, gym and wine cellar with its tasting room can be found.
All rooms are appointed with modern, minimalistic furnishings that were designed specifically as not to restrict the breathtaking panorama of city lights.
