Completed by BBVH Architecten Studio, Villa Festen is a 2,500-square-foot three-story house situated in the Biesland area, The Hague, The Netherlands.

The building is organized and positioned as to benefit from the sun light as much as possible. The garage, entrance, storage rooms and bathrooms are located on the north east side and the terraces, bedrooms, living room and dining room on the south side. The living room is connected to the spacious garden through a glass façade with large sliding doors.

The ground floor includes the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, the first floor features 4 bedrooms, a storage space, 2 bathrooms and a terrace, and the top floor has a large terrace and a studio.

This residence’s unique design brings together different colors and materials, creating a modern and futuristic home. White plaster covers the plinth and the top floor, silver blue slate stone was used for the first floor exterior, and oiled western red cedar was used for some parts between the windows and for the ceiling under the cantilevering first floor.
