The contemporary Onyx House was designed by a firm named Arch-D, and it can be found in Tallinn, Estonia. It was built in 2012 amidst a beautiful pine forest, and it features a sublime, modern exterior design that involves plenty of glass elements. The windows invite natural light to flow throughout the main living spaces during the day, while state-of-the-art lighting systems take over during the night.
This is a comfortable and luxurious residence that offers irreproachable living conditions to its fortunate owners. The hardwood floors and wooden elements found on the walls give off a feeling of coziness and warmth, while a selection of high-end amenities and facilities help sustain a carefree lifestyle. The living room features comfortable sofas, a coffee table and a large flat screen TV, and it can be found in close proximity to the kitchen and dining area.
The dining table offers enough seating for 8 people, which means that the inhabitants and their guests are able to enjoy great dining sessions.
A staircase with seemingly floating steps leads the way to the upper level, which houses the comfortable bedrooms as well as the bathrooms.

Location of the land, to where will be built the private residence, is located partially in the old building plot, where is remained the forest. Place itself requires exploitation of the existing, but especially forest massives with the relief of the landscape. This way the first floor would be open to the nature in maximum way and at the same time it would be formatted as the cocoon, meaning it will be the environment offering security. Colours, light and texture in the chosen materials will imitate the nature and will blend in to the nature, as if the house doesn’t exist. Evening light will reclect form the tree trunks, colour of the front will play with tree bark. The stonewall of the fireplace will come out of the ground as a natural stonewall. The location itself has defined the idea of the whole project conception, a pine forest with it´s different reliefs, the absence of other houses opened the opportunity to create the clean and natural facade to the building.
