Parksite in Rotterdam, the Netherlands is a former ambulance garage which was transformed into a house with the help of Doepel Strijkers and LEX Architects. The new home borders a secluded and tranquil park being connected to it through a large glass window.

The height for a second level was generated by the dugout located in the middle of the construction. The bedrooms are house by a polycarbonate lightbox with integrated LED.

The dugout is connected to the entrance hall on the street side and the living room on the park side, through the cupboard, kitchen and stairs designed in bright orange polyurethane. The focal point of the house is the suspended light box.
