Near Cancun, Mexico, but still far enough from the city to ensure maximum privacy and tranquility, Banyan Tree Mayakoba is a dreamy resort where guests can enjoy total relaxation and complete rewinding. Here you can discover a magical side of Mexico, where nature and man live in perfect harmony.

The resort is ideal for romantic getaways, and the Saffron restaurant is an excellent place for outdoor romantic dinners. Only 40 minutes away (by car) from Cancun International Airport, Banyan Tree Mayakoba welcomes its guests in luxe villas surrounded by a lush vegetation. The Sunset Lagoon villas are always an excellent choice, flaunting breathtaking views as the sun hides behind the horizon.

In all there are 107 open-plan villas on the resort, each one with a private pool and other high-end amenities. Mayakoba is Mayan for “city on water”, so most leisure activities here are related to water: swimming, snorkeling, exploring the reef, and so on. Of course, guests can also choose to spend some time on the El Camaleón golf course designed by Greg Norman, or simply unwind in the resort’s spa.
