The beautifully designed and comfortable Q1 lounge chair was created by 2 skilled Ukrainian designers named Dmitry Bulgakov and Zbroy Svyatoslav, who work at a studio called ODESD2. Their unique creation was based on the spherical thin-shell design that was originally sketched out by Richard Buckminster Fuller.
This particular shape was chosen because of its incredible resistance to heavy loads and because of its relatively quick an easy reproduction process. The chair was upholstered with soft and comfortable materials such as chenille fabric, while the filling was created using a material called Hollowfiber®, which is known to retain its shape under pressure.
