There are homes and then there are masterpieces, and judging by its sheer spaciousness, luxuriousness and outstanding location, this mansion in Kelowna, British Columbia definitely belongs to the latter category.  It sits on a 2.15-acre lot within a gated residential neighborhood named Sheerwater. It offers 17,000 square feet of living space as well as four stories, and it was sketched out by Canadian architect David Tyrell.

The residence earned quite a few awards since its completion, such as the 2011 Tommie Gold Award for Home Of The Year, the 2011 Tommie Award for Excellence in Master Suite Design, and the 2013 Pinnacle Award for Luxury Pool Design. Its most noteworthy design element is a 40-foot tall foyer that boasts stucco and brick walls as well as a staircase with glass railings and ab outrigger canoe that acts as a centerpiece. The canoe is illuminated naturally by a skylight, while the upper terrace directly above features a shallow reflecting pool. Moreover, the main patio comprises a 20,000-gallon infinity swimming pool, and it is connected to an open living space that comprises the kitchen, living room and dining area.
