Even though most of us dream of living in enormous mansions with generously sized bedrooms and king-sized beds, most of us are actually forced to limit our expectations and sleep in considerably smaller rooms. We can, however, furnish our bedrooms in efficient and clever ways by making the most out of every inch of space. The following bedrooms were envisioned by Artem Lazarev, and each and every one of them makes use of a limited amount of space in a very clever way.

This bedroom features several bamboo-inspired wall coverings as well as several overhead fixtures that help create a sense of warmth and coziness. Even though the available space was quite limited, the use of minimalistic furnishings and modern décor elements transform the room into an epitome of comfort.

While some might feel that a bookcase can occupy too much space in a small bedroom, there is actually a very simple solution to this: built-in shelving. As you can clearly see in the image, a part of the wall was transformed into a medium-sized bookcase in order to accommodate the needs of a reading enthusiast.

Dividers can also be used quite efficiently in order to delimitate two distinct areas of a smaller room. In this particular example, even though the bedroom was quite small to begin with, the designer managed to increase its overall level of comfort by adding a separate reading space.

Instead of hanging multiple art pieces on the walls of a small bedroom, some might get the illusion of extra space by painting the walls or by applying artistic wallpaper. The shadow tree and the brick stencil in this particular example can be considered great choices.

While most bedrooms are generally used for sleep, they can also represent a quiet, private place for sleepless rest and contemplation, which is why extra seating arrangements are highly recommended. Even if the available space is restricting, a small chair or armchair placed in a corner can dramatically increase overall comfort.

Light has a certain way of creating the illusion of extra space, which is why this relatively small bedroom was equipped with two hanging fixtures, recessed halogen lighting arrangements and a full-length window.

Vaulted ceilings and crisp, white walls are the perfect ingredients for creating elegant and spacious-looking living spaces. This incredible, contemporary bedroom was designed to perfection following this exact recipe.

A few bold colors scattered here and there give off a sense of playfulness and comfort. Mirrors can also be used to create the illusion of extra space with great efficiency.

This bedroom features a large mirror placed on the wall facing the opposite side of the bed in order to create an illusion of extra space. The narrow desk placed underneath this mirror also helps.
